California is not always the first, but we do play catch up quickly! Thanks to Assemblywoman Laura Friedman, AB 111, moved out of the first committee, on its way to create California’s own Office of Outdoor Recreation. Let us wish this plan all the success!

As a California Naturalist, I find this bit of news quite exciting! The more we get people out there in nature, interacting with her, the more people will be motivated to protect and pass on California’s Natural Wonders for future generations.
